Australia vs India Highlights 2009 ODI Series

Australia vs India: Who will win? One cannot wonder enough at the ease with which Australia retained Champions Trophy sporting a vulnerable look. They have perchance learnt the security code to victory and are not sharing it with others. With this assurance, they make a foray into India, come October 25th, where they are slated to play 7 ODIs till November 11th.
Aussies have many times folded in to the harshness of weather, pitch and unfamiliar Indian conditions. India does have an outstanding record playing at home, wherein they have often been accused of preparing tailor-made pitches that support spin. That even Australians and South Africans prepare fast pitches for their comfort has been the Indians’ counter-charge.
This series however may show an entirely different picture. Indian pace battery has never appeared so barren for years now, and Zaheer’s injury has been an ultra-critical issue. Australia, on their part, has Lee, Siddle and Hilfenhaus to sum up a rather potent bowling line up. Ponting is in irresistible form and in Watson, they have got a dependable opener at last. Their middle order is strengthened by Clarke and Hussey.
In response, Yuvraaj and Sehwag are injured. Dravid looks rusty and Dhoni is no longer his old self. That leaves us all to gape and expect from this standing tower of marvel for the umpteenth time – Sachin Tendulkar. He may be on the wrong side of age but his willow looks starved as ever. Australia has been the master’s pet dessert and he can single-handedly change equations.
Barring Tendulkar factor, it seems that Australia will finally make merry.
Indian Team Squad: MS Dhoni (C,WC), Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Virat Kohli, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Suresh Raina, Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Sudeep Tyagi, Yuvraj Singh
Australian Team Squad: Ricky Ponting (C), Michael Hussey (VC), Doug Bollinger, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, Jon Holland, James Hopes, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine (WC), Peter Siddle, Adam Voges, Shane Watson, Cameron White
